[Meeting Report ] #190 April 7

posted Apr 8, 2018, 9:25 PM by VTMC Admin

When we are down, we are prone to a vicious cycle, making ourselves feel more miserable, harder to recover from it....

In such a case, "LAUGH!  Simply LAUGH even for no reanson!!" is the message from the demonstrator. (First 2 photos)
Your laugh may be an artificial and forced one at first, your mind will soon catch up.  That's how human beings are made.... Arguably quite insightful!

We had a pleasure of having 2 guests tonight.
If you are thinking of starting sometning new, why don't you visit us to check?

Extra! Ninin-baori!! (2 persons in the same coat!!!)

posted Apr 8, 2018, 2:11 AM by VTMC Admin   [ updated Apr 8, 2018, 6:58 AM ]

Here is another great example of how we make every effort to entartain others by enjoying ourselves.

According to Wikipedia, "Ninin-baori" is a Japanese comedic act where two people wear the same large coat and pretend to be one (hunchbacked) person. One person (in front) is the "face" and the other (behind) is the "arms". Humor arises from the arms never being coordinated with the face.

Can you imagine how this actually looks like??? Here you go!!
Please note the "arms" are completely blindfolded against the back of the "face" person in front.

This is always fun!

[Meeting Report ] #186 February 17

posted Feb 19, 2018, 12:05 AM by VTMC Admin

While, until just recently, "bubbly" dance implied something more secretive, these days it means a sort of vivid dance performances featuring unique choreography and retro costumes, caricaturizing Japan's economic mania during 1980s-90s, so-called  the "bubble" period. For some reason, our meeting tonight started off with the simulation of this.  The character dancing was meant to be Nora Hirano, a comedienne who's gotten popular, making fun of people and life styles in the "bubble" period.  See the photos.

We had one guest.  Thanks for joining!
