[Meeting Report] #125 August 22nd (Sat)
Post date: Aug 29, 2015 1:16:40 PM
Visionaries’ regular meeting #125 set a new record in the history. We had 8 guests (wow!) and got high participant rate of the members. So the meeting room was quite packed with people and there was exciting and friendly atmosphere.
The opening event was a speech relay in which we talk about “favorite food” in 20 seconds. The last speaker was TM B.L and she said her favorite food was “water.” Because she was thirsty after running to the meeting room (she came late) and she was on a diet so that she did not like to think of other favorite foods. It was simple, convincing, and humorous answer. Well done!!
Then, the table topic session was conducted by our first-timer table topic master TM N.H. He asked several questions regarding “summer (O-Bon) vacation.” For example, ‘what was your best/worst memory in summer vacation?’ TM R.K made an impromptu speech by saying “my worst memory is… I could not get a summer vacation…” Ouch, nothing can be worse..
In the prepared speech session, we had two fresh faces (i.e. first timers!!) New members who joined this club in last two months made their first speeches on the same day. TM T.F introduced himself in his speech (CC#1) and what he thought on his family during his unique job on which he could not meet his family for long time. Another 1st time speech (CC#1) was made by TM H.K. She described how her childhood experience affected her interest and career choice. Both did a wonderful job!! TM K.T delivered his CC#5 (“Your Body Speaks”) and he literately spoke with his body (muscle?) Moving a lot during speech is not easy, but he did! Lastly, TM B.L made her CC#7 speech. Its topic was information security (we see the term very often!) and she introduced the technical topics in a concise way. She delivered a speech in two consecutive meetings. Thank you for your active participation!!
As part of our evaluation contest training, VPE S.K organized an evaluation workshop. Feedback is a critical part of our activities (and life.) He introduced 10 important tips to make a nice evaluation. The material will be shared with members online.
